Today I found some silver jewels that I used to wear it long time ago. Their colors have been changed to a brassy color. So, I used a little chemistry to reduce their original shine.
First you need a bowl made of glass, hot water, foil and baking powder. Next put the foil inside the bowl. Add the hot water, baking soda and your silver stuffs. Wait for a few minutes then take the silvers out of the bowl. Make them dry with a tissue and they’ll reduce their shiny colors again.
H2S+Ag—>Ag2S+H2
My advice: Don’t smell the chemical interact. It’s horrible!
